In normal years we open registration in early April. But as you know, this year is a little bit different. As there are NO indications as of today, April 10, that the Covid-19 outbreak will impact our youth football season, we have decided to hold off on opening registration for a few more weeks. We want to be sure that our season will be intact prior to asking our community to pay for a registration fee when there are more pressing concerns. We will re-evaluate opening registration in early May.
Approximately 30% of our budget comes from fund raisers and most of that is solicited through our local small businesses. At this time we do not plan to ask the small businesses in our community to donate to our program, as again, they have more pressing concerns. Thus, it will be a challenging season financially for Youth Football as well.
That being said, we are committed to supporting youth football and with everyone's help we will make sure this is another great season for Scappoose Youth Football.
